Through providing advice and technical support, MDE Automation has contributed to the development and construction of a new smart robot palletiser for the food industry in collaboration with Inno-Way. Currently, dozens of palletisers have been deployed in production locations worldwide.

The new machine is an innovative addition to internal transport solutions for the food industry. MDE Automation provided the Omron control of the palletizer and a special interface for operation.

Remco de Jonge, owner of Inno-Way, said: "We have contacted various suppliers of drives, but the control of the gripper arm with a direct drive proved to be a problem, as most suppliers sell a fixed combination of servo and driver. However, Omron and MDE Automation have enormous technical expertise. Setting up the Omron servo amplifier and the direct drive we use in the gripper arm proved to be no problem. Of course, MDE Automation also provided the other components for the control, such as the PLCs and servo motors. In addition, they have taken care of the entire programming."
